Marvel Legends Action Figures
Marvel Legends action figure is a toy line that is based on the Marvel Comics characters. Marvel Legends was first launched by the company Toy Biz and then the well known toy manufacturer Hasbro followed on. This action marvel legends figure line is of 6” (150 mm).
The first series of this Marvel Legends figures was based on the Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America and the Toad.
In the year 2007, Hasbro became the new licensee to manufacture games and marvel legends action figure based on the Marvel Universe and ToyBiz got new name ‘Marvel Toys’. There was no comic book with Hasbro packaging. And the quality of Hasbro figure is not very good as it is with ToyBiz like sloppy paint, ugly molds and bad articulation.
‘Chase’ Marvel Legends Action Figures
Since the start, Marvel Legends action figure line has used the ‘chase’ concept for introducing marvel legends figures that are based on not very much known characters. These marvel legends figure were produced in fewer quantities compared to the others, and thus the collectors ‘chase’ them. Eventually, this kind of marvel legends bust became popular in collectors.
Build-A-Figure
In the year of 2005, Toy Biz presented Marvel Legends figures with new line ‘Build-A-Figure’ as series 9. Each marvel legends statue of this line was bundled with a larger figure, a 16“(410 mm) Galactus bust. So, a collector that bought a marvel legends figure in the assortment would have all assembling components that are unavailable for a character in individual packing.
This concept was repeated in the tenth series of marvel legends action figure from Toy Biz. Each marvel legends bust was packed with a mutant-hunting robot called Sentinel. And the Build-A-Figure would com with Apocalypse, Giant-Man, Onslaught, MODOK, Mojo, Blob, Annihilus, Red Hulk, Nemesis, Brood Queen, Sandman, Ares, and Nemesis and Ronan the Accuser (Fantastic Four Limited Edition).
With the release of the Giant-Man BAF, Toy Biz packaged smaller parts with each character, requiring 10 figures to be purchased to create the BAF (including one of the variant figures).
