Action Figure Playsets
In the yesteryears, we have only two types of Action Figures, the Action Man and GI Joe.
However, today there are thousands of action figure play sets available in different categories. You will find movie figures, WWE figures, anime figures, figures of TV & pop stars.
Over the last 20-30 years, people from all walks of lives have grown up a ‘hobby’ of collecting these statues to keep in their homes. Now, not only kids, but all adults too collect these special toys.
First Action Figure – The first released action toy was GI Joe, introduced in 1964 by Hasbro. This superb statue became an instant hit and became popular all over the world.
Soon, the demand rose from all parts of the world and Hasbro licensed other companies to manufacture this great toy in new markets.
This figure was pose-able, on could move the arms, legs and head. Changing the uniforms was also very easy. The toy shops had accessories for GI Joe like food rations, armored tanks and uniforms. This first collectible item ruled for nearly to decades.
After a few years, the family got bigger. Figures based on super heroes like Superman, Spiderman, Batman, Phantom were introduced by many toy companies worldwide and they became instant hit.
