Everyone around the globe is familiar with the name – Star Wars. People are crazy for behind everything that is related to Star Wars be it a movie or a star wars figure.
The man behind star wars is George Lucas. The first movie of this world famous series was titled ‘Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope’ was released on May 25, 1977. This movie became a worldwide hit and later in a span of just three years, two sequels followed up.

The famous toy company Kenner launched a series of Star Wars action figures. Each star wars figure of this toy series was based on the characters of the Star Wars movie trilogy.
From 1977 to 1985, more than 90 variants of star wars figures were launched and around 300 million star wars action figures toys were sold. Kenner made a huge profit because of its star war action figure line.
These star wars figure were smaller than four inches and were movable at five points.
This line of star war figure was launched with vehicles and play-sets.
These star wars figures were sold in plastic packaging along with product cards. The cards were used to promote the available star wars figures.
Later a new line of star wars action figures toys was launched in 1995 when the Special Editions of the original trilogy were released. By that time, Kenner was overtaken by Hasbro.
The star wars action figures toys were seen in a movie E.T. (the Extra-Terrestrial) released in 1982. It was the scene in which Elliot introduces E.T. the objects of his daily life.

All the Star Wars movies had a significant impact on the modern culture of the United States. Also NASA in October 2007 launched a space shuttle and the prop handle of that shuttle was used as Luke Skywalker’s in the flick - Return of the Jedi.
